Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
You will begin with a city tour of Addis Ababa’s main historical attractions. Visits include the National Museum, Holy Trinity Cathedral, and the Ethnological Museum. You will also explore the vibrant Merkato market before returning to the hotel. Overnight stay at Capital Hotel and spa.
Day 2: Addis Ababa – Bahir Dar
You will travel to Bahir Dar on the shores of Lake Tana. In the afternoon, you will visit the impressive Blue Nile Falls, one of Ethiopia’s most famous natural attractions. The evening will be spent relaxing at your hotel. Overnight stay at the Jacaranda hotel.
Day 3: Bahir Dar – Gondar
You will drive through scenic countryside to the historic city of Gondar. The afternoon will be dedicated to exploring the Royal Enclosure and its medieval castles. You will also visit Debre Berhan Selassie Church, famous for its angel-painted ceiling. Overnight stay at Haile hotel.
Day 4: Gondar – Lalibela
Today you will travel to Lalibela, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its remarkable rock-hewn churches. You will explore these extraordinary structures carved directly into the rock. The churches remain active places of worship and hold great spiritual significance. Overnight stay at Mountain View Hotel.
Day 5: Lalibela – Addis Ababa
In the morning, you will visit the eastern group of Lalibela’s churches. After the visit, you will return to the hotel before travelling back to Addis Ababa. Your tour ends upon arrival in the capital.
