Echoes of Faith: Tigray's Rock-Hewn Churches

Step into one of the world's most sacred and architecturally remarkable regions, where ancient faith carved mountains into temples and spiritual devotion shaped civilisations. This 5-day journey through Tigray offers an intimate exploration of Ethiopia's legendary rock-hewn churches—UNESCO World Heritage sites that have stood as monuments to Christian tradition for over 1,500 years.

The Experience

Your journey begins in the vibrant capital of Addis Ababa, where you'll acclimate to Ethiopia's unique culture before travelling north to Mekelle, the gateway to Tigray's spiritual heartland. From there, you'll venture deep into remote highlands where whitewashed monasteries emerge from dramatic rock formations, and centuries-old frescoes tell stories of pilgrimage, martyrdom, and devotion.
