Discover the beauty of Yucatan Peninsula by bike! For 7 days you will have the chance to explore it all - from the jungle to the Caribbean. Visit Mexico’s second largest national park, the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve and kayak here while you explore the beautiful nature. You will also visit some of the most beautiful Mayan ruins—Ek Balam, Coba, Tulum and Chichen Itza.
After the long days you will be able to cool down in the crystal clear waters of cenotes. Moreover, you will get the opportunity to snorkel in the Mayan reef, the world’s second longest coral reef.
We recommend to bring: Cycling gear, comfortable clothes and shoes, raincoat, hat, sun-glasses, biodegradable insect repellent and sunblock, hygienic personal stuff and your camera.
Day 1 Arrival at Cancun
Upon arrival a professional naturalist guide will welcome you. We will head to Chichen Itza by van where you will get a briefing about the activities and important information regarding the tour. Afterwards we will check in at Mayaland Hotel or similar. In the evening, enjoy a light and sound show at Chichen Itza.
Day 2 Chichén Itzá – Valladolid
The day will start early in the morning when we will visit Chichén Itzá ruins. Afterwards, we will take the bikes and enjoy the scenic bike ride to Valladolid where you will be able to ride through local Mexican villages. Check in Hotel Meson del Marques or similar.
Distance: 59 km / 36.66 Miles
Day 3 Valladolid – Ek Balam
In the morning, we will cycle to Ek Balam archeological site. After enjoying this beautiful site, we will cycle back to Valladolid for a city tour and visit the Coffee Museum. Dinner in Valladolid, where you can find many dining options with traditional Mexican cuisine. Overnight in Meson del Marques or similar.

Day 4 Valladolid – Coba
After breakfast we will cycle to Coba. Along the way, we will stop to refresh ourselves in one of the most beautiful cenotes - the impressive Tamcach Ha cenote. After visiting Coba archaeological site you can join an optional zip line tour which can be enjoyed as well. After that a van will pick us up and we will go to Tulum. Overnight in Tulum - Hotel Los Lirios or similar.
Distance: 70 km / 43.50 Miles
Day 5 Tulum
*Optional* Early Bird watching tour for those who are interested in seeing the many different bird species. Then we will cycle to Tulum ruins - the only Mayan ruins located to the water. There we will learn a lot about the Mexican culture and take amazing pictures. After the ruins you will have the opportunity to visit another cenote where you can refresh yourself after the long day. Cycle back to Hotel Los Lirios or similar.
Distance: 25 km / 15.53 Miles
Day 6 Sian Ka’an
In the morning we will bike to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve where you can kayak in wetlands and learn more about the area. In the afternoon, we will enjoy the beach in Tulum and later transfer in air-conditioned van to Cancun Hotel Marriot Courtyard or similar.
Distance: 56 km / 43.50 Miles
Day 7 Departure from Cancun
After breakfast transfer by van to Cancun International Airport for your flight back home.
