The private car will take you from your hotel to Luosto, a city located 115 km away from Rovaniemi. The city lies underneath the ancient mountains created 20 million years ago. The area contains beautiful forests and nature, where you can indulge yourself in the tranquillity of the Arctic Circle. The 20-million-year-old amethyst mine is located inside the ancient mountains. Learn everything about the region and what makes it so unique.
Climbing up the mountain, you will meet professionals who will tell you the interesting history of the Amethyst Mine. With their support, use the tools to dig out your piece of amethyst, which you can take with you as a small souvenir.
Afterwards, enjoy the beautiful landscape of this mountain, offered together with a small campfire barbecue. Salmon soup, reindeer meat sandwich and pork sausages will be served for you to taste the Lapland.
