Travel from Cochin into the cool, scenic Western Ghats on the way to Munnar. Wander through rolling tea plantations, learn about the region’s tea-making history at the Tea Museum, and explore Eravikulam National Park. Take in the mountain scenery at Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point and nearby viewpoints along the way.
Drive: Approx. 130 km | 4–5 hrs
Your journey begins with pickup from your Cochin hotel or Cochin Airport for the scenic drive to Munnar. Travel through the lush Western Ghats, passing waterfalls, spice plantations and picturesque valleys.
Upon arrival, check into your hotel and relax. In the afternoon, visit a local tea estate to learn about tea cultivation and plucking. Continue to the Tea Museum to discover the history and development of tea production in South India, followed by a tea-tasting experience featuring freshly brewed varieties.
Spend the evening at leisure enjoying Munnar’s peaceful hill-station atmosphere.

Day 2: Munnar SightseeingAfter breakfast, begin exploring Munnar’s natural and cultural highlights. Start at Pothamedu Viewpoint for panoramic views over tea, coffee and spice plantations spread across the surrounding hills.
Continue to Mattupetty Dam and Reservoir, where optional boating is available. Visit Eravikulam National Park at Rajamala, home to the endangered Nilgiri tahr and known for its high-altitude grasslands and mountain landscapes.
Later, visit Mattupetty Dairy Farm, part of the Indo-Swiss Livestock Project, followed by Echo Point, known for its natural echo phenomenon and scenic surroundings.
Return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Munnar – CochinDrive: Approx. 130 km | 4–5 hrs
After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time to relax or take a short walk through the tea plantations and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Later, check out and drive back to Cochin. En route, you may stop at viewpoints or local markets for refreshments and photography. Upon arrival in Cochin, transfer to your hotel or airport for your onward journey, concluding your Munnar experience.
