Explore Guwahati and Shillong, blending lively city culture with the natural beauty of Meghalaya. Take scenic excursions to Cherrapunjee’s dramatic waterfalls and caves, then visit Mawlynnong to see its famous living root bridges and village traditions. Along the way, discover sacred temples, verdant landscapes and the warm, vibrant culture of Northeast India.
Drive: Approx. 100 km | 3 hrs
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport, meet your driver and begin your scenic journey to Shillong. En route, stop at Umiam Lake, a peaceful reservoir surrounded by green hills and an ideal place for photography.
Continue to Shillong and check in at your hotel. Later, visit the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, known for its peaceful setting and impressive architecture. In the evening, explore Police Bazar, a lively market area offering opportunities for shopping and local experiences.

Day 2: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – ShillongDrive: Approx. 120 km round trip | 5–6 hrs
After breakfast, begin a full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee. Visit Elephant Falls, a multi-tiered waterfall surrounded by greenery, followed by Mawsmai Cave with its limestone formations.
Continue to Nohkalikai Falls for views of one of the region’s prominent waterfalls. Also visit Seven Sisters Falls and Thankarang Park for panoramic views across the surrounding landscapes.
After sightseeing, return to Shillong through the scenic hills of Meghalaya.

Day 3: Shillong – Mawllynong – ShillongDrive: Approx. 180 km round trip | 6–7 hrs
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Mawllynong. Explore the village’s well-maintained surroundings, bamboo walkways and gardens. Visit the Living Root Bridge, an example of traditional bio-engineering developed by local communities.
Experience the village environment and observe local practices, including betel nut cultivation. Enjoy the peaceful setting and fresh air before returning to Shillong in the evening.

Day 4: Shillong – GuwahatiDrive: Approx. 100 km | 3 hrs
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax.
Later, visit Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peeths, located on Nilachal Hill. Explore the temple complex and its spiritual significance. You may also visit Sankardev Kalakshetra, a cultural centre showcasing Assam’s heritage.
In the evening, an optional Brahmaputra River cruise is available on a direct-payment basis.

Day 5: Guwahati – DepartureAfter breakfast, check out and prepare for departure. Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy some time for last-minute shopping or relaxation before your transfer to Guwahati Airport.
