Day 1: Kampala / Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Depart Kampala or Entebbe early in the morning and drive southwest towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the scenic Ugandan countryside, tea plantations, and the Kikorongo wetlands. Arrive at the park in the afternoon and check in at your lodge. Enjoy an optional evening game drive through the Kasenyi plains as the sun sets over the savannah, with excellent chances of spotting elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kob, and warthogs in the golden afternoon light. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Rise early for a morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains, the park's prime predator territory and one of the best places in Uganda to spot lions, leopards, hyenas, and large herds of elephants and buffaloes. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a leisurely boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. The cruise offers an extraordinary wildlife spectacle, one of the world's highest concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles line the banks, alongside elephants, buffaloes, and an incredible diversity of water birds, including African skimmers, kingfishers, and pelicans. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ishasha Sector Tree-Climbing Lions and Return to Kampala
After an early breakfast, check out and drive south to the remote Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous worldwide for its unique tree-climbing lions. Game drive through the fig tree-dotted savannah in search of these remarkable lions lounging in the branches above, alongside Uganda kob, topi, and giant forest hogs. After the game drive, begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving by early evening at the end of an extraordinary Ugandan wildlife safari.
