You'll tour a coffee estate, learn about every step from best farming practices, to the production process, and ultimately sample some freshly brewed Kenyan coffee yourself. We introduce the concept of coffee tourism to our visitors, who get to experience a coffee tour around the coffee farm and learn about the Fairview Estate coffee brand and its production.
A half-day tour to Fairview Coffee Estate is a guided coffee tour from Nairobi to a renowned coffee-producing region. Starting where the coffee is grown—on iron-rich, volcanic soils in the central highlands—is a fascinating window into what makes it distinctive. And since the tour includes a guided tour of the coffee plantation, you will get an inside look at each step of the coffee-making process, from farm fields to picking and roasting. Our driver/guide will pick you up from your Nairobi Hotel or residence around 8:30 AM or 12:30 PM and proceed to Fairview Coffee Farm Estate. Fairview Coffee Estate Tour welcomes you to a unique coffee educational tourism experience that includes: Understanding how coffee is grown, learning about the production process as well and tasting at least a couple of Fairview's renowned brands. Upon arrival, you will be given the history of the farm by the professional staff. The second stage will be visiting the coffee factory and here you will learn about coffee processing and all the stages it entails. The third stage will be visiting the coffee lab where roasting is done. Here you will also be able to test the coffee and you can also have a chance to buy some coffee to take back home. Later you will go to the garden where you will be served coffee, cookies and there is also milk that you can add. Later is drop off to your hotel which marks the end of the tour.
