Our 3-day Lake Nakuru National Park Safari takes you to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to the stunning flocks of millions of lesser flamingos and over 400 other species of birds, which turn the lake shores into a magnificent pink stretch.
Lake Nakuru is also home to the black and white rhino sanctuary, gazelles, Dik Diks, leopards, buffalo, lions, and other wildlife. Lake Nakuru is an alkaline soda lake lying 160 km from Nairobi. For nature lovers, this park is covered in grassland and surrounded by euphorbia and acacia forests creating a beautiful natural background that contrasts well with the pink shores.
On this 3 Days Lake Nakuru National Park Safari, you will also absorb the breathtaking Rift Valley viewpoint and magnificent landscapes.
Day 1:Nairobi-Lake Nakuru National Park and Picnic.
Depart from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch, enjoy an evening game drive to see the huge numbers of flamingos concentrated along the lake shore.
In addition to the bird life for which Nakuru is so well known there are many different wildlife species in the park including lion, leopard, Black rhino, White rhino, buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, zebra, impala and waterbuck. Overnight at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge
Day 2: Game Drive
An early morning game drive before breakfast to try to find leopards which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru Park and return to the lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast you will take a further drive to seek out the 2 species of rhino found in the park, returning before lunch. The afternoon is leisurely, relaxing by the lodge swimming pool before an evening game drive in the park. Overnight at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or Lake Nakuru Lodge
Day 3: Flamingos and Birding and end of safari
You will be up early having breakfast at your accommodation and then to the famous lake Nakuru, for a flamingo and birding spree; you will spend most of your morning exploring these pink creatures and other numerous birds that make their life on the lake. You will also see several water animals as you enjoy the Lake's ambience.
After the birding spree, you will head back to your accommodation for lunch and after lunch, you will leave the park and head back to Nairobi City where the tour guide will drop you at a location of your choice in the city or at the international airport.
