The excursion begins very early in the morning to go to Machu Picchu, first by car and then by train, during the journey you can see great landscape rich with mountains, glaciers and then jungle that is where we find Machu Picchu. A highly recommended excursion, if you visit Peru, this is a place that you cannot miss.
Morning
The tour begins by picking you up from your hotel early in the morning (from 3:45 to 4:00 am ) and a car journey to the train station in Ollantaytambo (1:30h). From here we take the train to Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu Pueblo that goes for 1:45h.
Once you reach the train station, our representative will wait and take you to the bus station from where you will travel for another 30 mins towards the main entrance to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
Once you arrive our guide will wait for you to start the guided tour of approx 3 hours, visiting the most important places within the Inca city, like the Sun Temple, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Sacred Rock, the quarry, the house of the Inca etc.
After the tour you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own. Then you will take the return bus to Aguas Calientes where you can find a place to enjoy delicious lunch.
Afternoon
In the afternoon you will take the train back to the station of Ollantaytambo from where our representative will take you back to the imperial city of Cusco. You will arrive at night to your respective hotel (the arrival depends of the train availability).
