Only an hour and a half from Merida, a varied visit to the Mayan civilization known as the Ruta Puuc, which means "hills" or "mounds", awaits you. Visit the caves of Lol-Tun from Merida and learn about Mayan Temples such is Kabah, Uxmal, with our guide specializing in Mayan culture. Then enjoy a sound and light show.
Start this interesting adventure by being picked up in Downtown Merida at 9:00 am.
You will take a walk along the Puuc Route, visiting first the Loltún Cave what means "Flower Stone" (Flor de Piedra).
After that you will go to Kabah, where you will find a quadrilateral called Codz-pop which means "rolling backpack", the Arch, the Chac masks, the Temple of the Columns and the House of the Witch.
Then you will go to Uxmal, see Puuc art built in parallelepipedic forms of buildings, with smooth walls and ornate friezes. Uxmal is located 100 km from Mérida. Most of the buildings of Uxmal belong to the Classic Maya period and some to the middle phase or late. Chaac is represented in multiple buildings, in the Palace of the Governor, Quadrangle of the Nuns and the Temple of the Fortune Teller.
Then, you will go to a restaurant for lunch and return to your hotel.
