Spend the day exploring the lovely landscapes of Provence with its vineyards and the famous Sainte-Victoire mountain. Visit the basilique of Ste Marie-Madeleine at Saint Maximin la Sainte Baume. Enjoy the visit and lunch at leisure in Aix-en-Provence.
Depart Nice in the morning for Sainte-Maximin and get some free time to explore the Basilica Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, where the relics of Mary Magdalene are housed. Get lovely views of the vineyards of the Côte de Provence and Coteaux d'Aix as well as the famous St. Vicoire mountain painted by Cezanne on the way to Aix-en-Provence.
Arrive in the spa town of Aix-en-Provence, time to explore the old town by the little tourist train, then stroll, enjoy and find a nice spot to enjoy lunch. On the way back to Nice stop at the beautiful Chateau Ste. Roseline, in the middle of the vineyards and go for some wine tasting.
