Private guided tour (up to 4 persons) exploring Dryanovo’s cultural and natural highlights. Visit the Kolyu Ficheto Museum, Lafchieva House, and Dryanovo Monastery, and discover Bacho Kiro Cave — blending architecture, history, and prehistoric heritage in one day.

Begin your journey at the Kolyu Ficheto Museum, where you will discover the life and legacy of the legendary Bulgarian master builder through detailed models, drawings, and historical exhibits. Continue to the elegant Lafchieva House, a beautifully preserved 19th-century home built entirely without nails, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle of Dryanovo’s prosperous merchants.

Next, visit the exhibition “Created by the Earth”, featuring an impressive collection of minerals and gemstones from around the world. Admire rare crystals, fossils, and striking natural formations that showcase the beauty and diversity of the Earth’s treasures.

As you explore Dryanovo, you’ll encounter unique outdoor landmarks, including an open-air map of Bulgaria, the historic clock tower, and the remarkable “Painted Chimney” — a 45-meter-high mural by artist Krum Baldjiyski. This towering artwork, among the tallest of its kind in the region, presents Bulgarian history through vivid vertical “rings of time.”

Cross the iconic Kolyu Ficheto Bridge, the only bridge by this master builder preserved in its original form, before continuing to the peaceful Dryanovo Monastery, nestled in a scenic canyon. Visit the monastery’s archaeological museum to learn about the region’s ancient past, its role during the Bulgarian National Revival and the April Uprising, and the long Ottoman siege that highlights its historical importance.

The tour concludes at nearby Bacho Kiro Cave, one of Europe’s most significant prehistoric sites. Walk through its impressive halls, admire the stalactites and stalagmites, and discover the groundbreaking findings of some of the oldest modern human remains in Europe. As Bulgaria’s first developed show cave, it offers a fascinating journey into humanity’s earliest history, perfectly complementing the cultural and historical experiences of the day.
