Utilizing domestic airlines, you board a flight destined for Lukla, a mere 40-minute aerial journey from Kathmandu. Ensure that your luggage does not exceed 40 kg/88.1849 pounds; any excess weight will incur additional charges or necessitate leaving items at the airport. The trek begins with a scenic walk from Lukla to Phakding, surrounded by breathtaking views. Located at an altitude of 2610 m/8562.992 ft, Phakding offers a relatively easy trail, meandering through small settlements, forests, and showcasing diverse wildlife. Day one concludes in Phakding, where an overnight stay awaits.

Day 3 - Trek to Namche Bazar

Namche Bazaar, renowned as the Gateway to the majestic Himalayas for avid trekkers. Before reaching Namche Bazaar, two permits are required to traverse the Sagarmatha National Park, obtained at Monjo. The journey to Namche Bazaar typically spans 6 to 7 hours, presenting a trail that strikes a balance between moderate difficulty. Navigate through picturesque stone-paved paths, traverse suspension bridges spanning swift rivers, and enjoy panoramic views adorned with colorful prayer flags. As Namche sits at an elevation of 3440 m/11286 ft, the trail gradually ascends, featuring long stairs and a few challenging steep sections. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4 - Acclimatization Day

Ensuring proper acclimatization is crucial as altitude increases, posing challenges for our body to adjust. To mitigate complications, the day will be dedicated to exploring nearby attractions such as the Local Museum, Hillary School, Khumjung Village, and Khunde Village. These settlements offer a glimpse into the captivating Sherpa lifestyle. Additionally, enjoy stunning views of mountains like Ama Dablam (6912 m/22349 ft), Mount Nuptse (7861 m/25791 ft), Mount Lhotse (8516 m/27940 ft), fostering acclimatization through these brief hikes. Following these activities, take adequate rest and prepare for the onward journey. Overnight accommodation awaits in Namche Bazaar.

Day 5 - Trek to Tangboche

Situated 9.6 km/6 miles from Namche Bazaar, Tengboche marks today's challenging trek, acknowledged as one of the most demanding segments of the journey. Despite its difficulties, this leg of the trek offers the most gratifying views throughout the entire expedition. The route encompasses mountains, panoramic vistas, monasteries, diverse fauna, and exotic animals, making the arduous climb truly worthwhile. Initially descending, the trail later ascends, reaching an elevation of 3876 m/12687 ft near the midpoint. Given the challenging descent followed by an ascent, it becomes crucial to anticipate difficulties in acclimatization. Carry a first aid kit as a precaution. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in Tengboche.

Covering a total distance of 11 km/6.83508 miles from Dingboche to Lobuche, the journey typically takes around 4 to 5 hours to complete. Lobuche, with sparse population and a few teahouses, offers breathtaking views of mountains like Lobuche, Nuptse, and the stunning Everest region upon arrival.
