Start your day with a 3-hour small-group tour of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Get up close to the largest waterfall in the world and marvel at the kaleidoscopic rainbows created by the spray. Your seasoned guide will take you to the best viewpoints where you will be able to capture the stunning sights of the sun rising over the Victoria Falls. You will also be fascinated by the details on the flora & fauna within the Victoria Falls area and any other relevant information regarding the much-visited World Heritage Site.
The tour not only offers the view of one of these Natural Wonders but also information about its formation and its geology, the unique ecosystem of the rainforest, daring exploits of early explorers (David Livingstone, Henry Stanley and company). You will also learn about the magical tales of local legends and myths under the constant spray from the “Mosi Oa Tunya - The Smoke that Thunders”.
You will be picked up from your hotel at around 5:45 am and taken to Victoria Falls National Park, arriving at the park entrance by 6:00 am. Arriving early allows you plenty of time to enter the rainforest and set up for the perfect shot in time for sunrise. Your tour will conclude around 8:30 am, and you will return to your hotel in time for a well-deserved breakfast. After your tour, you might also want to explore the many artefact stalls near the waterfall entrance, where you can test your negotiation skills, or consider taking a helicopter flight for a bird's-eye view of the falls.
