A guided safari experience in a 4x4 vehicle, usually during early morning or late afternoon, allowing visitors to explore vast wildlife reserves. Led by an experienced ranger, the drive offers opportunities to spot a variety of animals, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, and antelope, in their natural habitat. The guide shares knowledge about animal behaviour, tracking, and the ecosystem.
Hotel Pick-Up (Depending on Session Chosen)
- Your guide picks you up from your accommodation in a 4x4 open safari vehicle.
- Drive to Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park gate (10–20 mins from most hotels in Livingstone).
- Brief introduction and safety briefing from your safari guide.
Guided Game Drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park
- Duration: ~1.5 to 2 hours
- Explore the park by vehicle first, spotting:
- Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, zebras, baboons, and more.
- Occasional sightings of leopards (rare) and other smaller carnivores.
- Your guide will stop for photo opportunities and share insights on animal behaviour, tracks, and birdlife.
Rhino Tracking on Foot
- Duration: ~1 to 1.5 hours
- Meet a Zambian Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) ranger at the rhino protection area.
- Begin a guided walking safari through the bush to track the park’s endangered white rhinos.
- Explore anti-poaching measures and discover the importance of rhino conservation.
- Approaches are done slowly and safely for incredible close-up viewing on foot (often within 10–20 meters).
Refreshments & Exit
- After the walk, return to the vehicle.
- Enjoy cold drinks, water, and light snacks under a shady tree or back at the park gate.
- Drive out of the park.
Return to the hotel
- Return to the hotel.
- Tour ends.
