This 3-day safari takes you deep into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda for an unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. Day 1: Entebbe/Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Depart from Entebbe or Kampala in the morning and drive west toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and a brief explanation of this unique geographical line. Continue through scenic towns and countryside, pausing in Mbarara for lunch before arriving at your lodge in Bwindi by early evening.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Start early at around 8:00 am for gorilla trekking with your experienced local guides. Hike through dense rainforest trails to locate a gorilla family, which may take several hours. Spend up to one hour observing the silverbacks, mothers, and infants, taking photos and learning about their behaviour and habitat. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for relaxation and reflection.
Day 3: Bwindi – Kampala/Entebbe
After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive back toward Kampala or Entebbe. Enjoy the scenic countryside en route, with opportunities for photos or brief stops at local villages. Arrive at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport in the evening for the onward travel, concluding the safari adventure.
