Bear Watching Experience Near Brasov 3 hours

  • Private tour

Thanks to the relatively low level of human intervention, Romania has become home to the largest brown bear population in Europe. Here, in the heart of the Carpathian mountains, you have the chance to observe these majestic animals in their natural habitat, find out interesting facts about the bear life in the wilderness and capture unique moments with your camera.

Join us for a short bear-watching adventure trip in the forests near Brașov, together with a specialized forest ranger that will answer all your questions.

The bear watching tour takes place late in the afternoon, starts around 17:00-18:00 and it lasts for about 3 hours. It is available from Monday to Friday from mid-March to October.

We drive to a forest and walk to a specially designed bear hide. Wait quietly for the bears to arrive.

Usually, the bears arrive just minutes after you get there but in rare occasions the animals might be there already, so please keep quiet and don’t scare them. Take photos and learn interesting facts about the lives of these animals.

Sometimes it is possible to see other animals too: wild boars, deer, lynx or even wolves.Get back to the cars and leave the area just before darkness falls.
