This bear-watching tour is specially designed for observing the brown bears in the wild, from a safe hide situated in the forests near Covasna County. It is also a great spot for taking professional photos.
If you are looking for bear watching tours in Romania, you should know that thanks to the relatively low level of human intervention, Romania has become home to the largest brown bear population in Europe. You have the chance to observe these majestic animals in their natural habitat, find out interesting facts about the bear’s life in the wilderness and capture unique moments with your camera.
Itinerary: Your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Brasov at 2-3 pm. After a 1-hour drive, we will arrive at the beautiful Zabola Estate in Zabala village, in Covasna county. Here, we will embark on a short drive with 4WD vehicles into the forest and walk for about 300 meters until we reach a safe bear hide. Once inside, we will wait quietly for the bears to arrive.
Maximum time in the bear hide: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (depending on sunset time)
Optional, we can offer accommodation in Zabola Estate.
