Dash through Harghita’s snowfields behind your own husky team on this 1.5-hour private sledging adventure. After a safety briefing, master the art of mushing as 8-10 eager dogs pull you across rolling hills, silent forests and postcard-worthy viewpoints. Stop whenever you like for photos or to soak up the wintry serenity while learning how Nordic travellers once relied on canine power for transport.
After a two-hour drive to Harghita County, meet your instructors and the dogs for our dog sledging tour. There will be a short briefing, during which you will learn the basics of driving a sledge. Each person will be given a sledge and 8-10 huskies, depending on the weight. Afterwards, together with your musher, you will begin an 8-10 kilometres / 6 miles tour on the snow-covered hills and meadows, reaching beautiful viewpoints with amazing scenery.
During the activity, improve your mushing skills and learn how to control your own pack of dogs in the white wilderness of Harghita County. Feel the wind in your face and imagine how life was many years ago, when Nordic people used dogs for transportation. You will take as many breaks as you want to enjoy the surroundings and take amazing photos of the places.
Keep in mind that on the sleigh, obviously, you will be the only one, so it's private from this point of view, but at the meeting point, other tourists from other travel agencies might join this tour.
