Embark on your journey with a visit to the iconic Acropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Situated on a flat-topped rock ascending 150 meters (4490 ft) above sea level, evidence of habitation dates back to the 4th millennium BC. Coordinated by Pericles (c. 495-429 BC) in the 5th century BC, the construction of key ancient buildings:
