Discover the natural beauty of Northern Vietnam with our 2-day, 1-night tour from Hanoi to Cat Ba Island and the magnificent Lan Ha Bay. Cruise past towering limestone karsts, enjoy swimming and beach activities at Ba Trai Dao, and relax with comfortable accommodation. It’s the ideal short escape to paradise.
DAY 1: Hanoi - Cat Ba - National Park
08:00: Our driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi to Hai Phong. Upon arrival at the Got ferry, board a speed boat to Cat Ba Island.
Having lunch and checking into the hotel.
14:00: visit to Cat Ba national park, having a short trek through Kim Giao forest, reach the highest point named “Ngu Lam Peak” which offers an overview of the whole island. Then return to the hotel for the overnight.
DAY 2: Lan Ha - Halong Bay - Hanoi
07:30: transfer from your hotel to Beo dock.
08:00 Check in the boat, enjoy a welcoming drink. Start cruising through Cái Bèo fishing village – the largest and the most traditional fishing village in the North of Vietnam, passing Monkey Island (We do not stop at Monkey Island). Then the boat reaches the heart of Lan Ha Bay, which has thousands of unique-shaped karst towers and emerald water.
09:30 Stop at Di San Floating House to visit a fisherman's family and their fish farm to see the locals’ life, take photos of the huge fish (it’s about 13 years old and around 100 kg), which is called “Happy fish“. Afterwards, the boat continues cruising to the magnificent landscapes before parking at Dau Be Island. Then, discovering the bay on your own way with a double-sharing kayak at Ba Hầm Lake in Hạ Long Bay, you will explore the beauty of nature in a hidden lagoon with lots of stalactites hanging down from the ceiling cave, which creates strange shapes and sizes. This option depends on the tide level of the bay (Just in case, the tide is too high, we will do 2nd option: Cruising through Cua Van Floating Village, passing Rang Dua Island, Frog Island,…Then do kayaking through Dark Cave, Bright Cave). Lunch with seafood and Vietnamese traditional food will be served while the boat keeps cruising.
After lunch, our captain will choose the best area to anchor. You will have time to relax, then take part in interesting activities: jumping off from the boat, swimming or walking on the beach in Ba Trái Đào Beach. Then take a speed boat to return to Hai Phong, and our driver will transfer you to Hanoi.
Drop you off at your hotel. Tour ends. Goodbye and see you again!
