Explore Sagar village, located far south on the magical Inle Lake. Here you will experience the well-preserved traditions of various ethnic groups. Sagar is definitely an off-the-beaten-path destination - only a few tourists come here.
Our representative (English-speaking guide) will meet you up at the Nyaung Shwe jetty, the starting point to travel by long-tail boat to the south of Inle Lake to reach Sagar and the Thakong villages. This pleasant boat journey (about 3 hours one way) enables you to get off the beaten path and see unspoiled culture and the traditional lifestyles of the ethnic groups living in the area.
On the way, we will visit Kyauktaing, a Shan village where the villagers produce earthenware pottery. During the trip, you will see beautiful landscapes, flowering trees, and settlements dotting both sides of the canal.
