Other daily activities: a trek is only recommended if you are prepared to accept very basic and often uncomfortable hiking.
What to bring: Mosquito net + Sleeping Mat. (Provided), Plastic Boots ( Suggested ) or Sport Shoes + Slipper Insect Repellent, Malaria Tablet, Bed Sheets or a Simple Sleeping Bag, A bottle for drinking water, Sun Cream or Block, Rain jacket or poncho, Swimming Suit, Earplugs, 2 Pair of Socks + 1 Sweater, 2 shorts + 1 trouser, 2 - 3 T-Shirts, A Torch or Flashlight, Personal Medication, Photo Copies of your Passports, ETC.
Day 1 Padang - Siberut - Bat Obai
6:00am Leave for the harbour. The ferry leaves at 7:00am to Siberut Island via Muara Sikabaluan (north of Siberut) and takes 3 hours.
12:00 Leave for Muara Siberut (south of Siberut) for one hour and have lunch there. After lunch we continue our trip to Bat Obai village which takes 2 hours by boat and we will stay overnight in a native's house.
Day 2 Bat Obai
At the same house, see the life and activities of the tribes (free program). Overnight at the same house.
Day 3 Bat Obai - Bat Osab
8:00 After breakfast, we leave Bat Obai and visit Bat Osab. It takes 3 hours walk (trekking) through the jungle. We will stay here overnight in a native's house.
Day 4 Bat Osab
At the same house, see the life and activities of the tribes (free program). Overnight at the same house.
Day 5 Bat Osab - Siberut - Padang
9:00 After breakfast, we leave Bat Osab to the side of the river. It takes 2 hours walk to catch the ferry back to Padang. The ferry leaves Siberut harbor at 15:00 and arrive at 6:pm. Straight transfer to your hotel and tour ends.
Note: We are not responsible and do not cover for any costs incurred if the ferry delay because of bad weather.
