Begin the day with a midnight departure from Surabaya or Malang. Arrive at the Pananjakan viewpoint to witness the magical sunrise over Mount Bromo, where the first light paints the sky in hues of gold and pink. Capture the surreal landscape of the Sea of Sand surrounding Bromo, creating a lunar-like atmosphere.
Depart for Ijen Crater in the early morning hours. Embark on a predawn trek guided by the glow of sulfuric flames, witnessing the mesmerizing blue fire phenomena. As dawn breaks, marvel at the turquoise hues of Ijen's acidic crater lake, creating a surreal and captivating scene.
Day 1: Surabaya / Malang - Mt. Bromo - Mt. IjenGet ready to be picked up at 11.30 p.m. by our driver and professional guide who will take you to the Bromo area in Probolinggo. After departing from Surabaya or Malang, you will reach the destination in 3 hours. Then, we will continue the trip by Jeep (4WD) to enjoy the bumpy road towards Mt. Penanjakan, which is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of Bromo sunrise. Driving down the hill, you will pass the vast sea of sand, resulting from the eruption of Mt. Bromo, in a 30-minute-easy track to the peak. From the crater rim, you can see the active Bromo crater, caldera, and mountainous views of Mt. Batok and the highest mountain on Java Island, Mt. Semeru. Also, you can find the Hindu temple reflecting the Majapahit Kingdom's history. Next, you can enjoy breakfast at Lava View Restaurant and you will head to Ijen Crater in Banyuwangi / Bondowoso with a stopover for lunch. Here, you will stay for a night in a hotel.
Day 2: Mount Ijen - Ketapang PortGet ready in the early morning because you will be picked up at 11.30 p.m from your hotel. We will start the trip by driving you to Paltuding. Afterward, we will begin an hour-long trek to Ijen Crater. Here, you can get the chance to witness the dazzling blue lava-like rivers of light known as the Blue Fire phenomenon. Next, we will explore the crater area and see a panoramic view of Mount Ijen turquoise. At 8 a.m., we will return to Surabaya, Malang, or Ketapang port.
