Day 1: Arrive in Mumbai
Upon your arrival at Mumbai airport, you will be greeted by a representative who will escort you to your hotel. Please note that the standard check-in time is 12 pm, but if your room is available, an early check-in may be possible. The remainder of the day is at your leisure, allowing you to relax or explore the vibrant city of Mumbai on your own.
Day 2: Mumbai Sightseeing
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, embark on a morning excursion to the Elephanta Caves (closed on Mondays). These ancient caves, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcase remarkable rock-cut architecture. Immerse yourself in the mystical atmosphere as you explore the intricate sculptures and carvings within.
Later in the day, embark on a comprehensive city tour of Mumbai. Visit some of the city's iconic heritage buildings, including the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a magnificent railway station adorned with Victorian Gothic architecture. Continue your exploration to the Gateway of India, an imposing monument overlooking the Arabian Sea, and the Prince of Wales Museum, renowned for its extensive collection of art and artefacts.
Another fascinating stop on the city tour is the Dhobi Ghat, a unique open-air laundry where clothes are traditionally washed and ironed. Witness the organised chaos and learn about the age-old practice that keeps Mumbai's laundry clean and spotless.

Day 3: Mumbai to Aurangabad (Flight) and Ellora Caves
In the morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Aurangabad. Upon arrival in Aurangabad, a representative will greet you and accompany you to your hotel.
Later, embark on an excursion to the Ellora Caves (closed on Tuesdays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the remarkable complex of rock-cut Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain temples dating back to the 6th century CE. Marvel at the intricate sculptures and carvings that depict various mythological tales and glimpses of everyday life.
During the excursion, you will also visit Grishneshwar, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas (sacred abodes of Lord Shiva), and Daulatabad Fort, a well-preserved medieval fortress offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After the tour, return to your hotel in Aurangabad for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 4: Aurangabad - Ajanta Caves - Aurangabad (210kms round trip)
Today after breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to the Ajanta Caves, yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site and a magnificent example of ancient Indian rock-cut architecture. The Ajanta Caves house 30 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments dating back to the 2nd century BCE. Admire the stunning frescoes and sculptures that narrate the life of Buddha and depict various Buddhist deities.
After the Ajanta Caves exploration, return to Aurangabad, and city tour that will take you to some of Aurangabad's renowned monuments. Visit Bibi Ka Maqbara, a mausoleum built in memory of Emperor Aurangzeb's wife, inspired by the Taj Mahal's architecture. Explore the Panchakki, a fascinating water mill that was used to grind grain.
After the tour, return to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay in Aurangabad.
Day 5: Aurangabad - Departure (Flight)
