Head on an excursion from here to Cherrapunjee, one of the wettest places in the world. Enjoy the thrill of exploring the ‘living roots bridge’ at Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. You will also visit Guwahati, the largest city in Northeast India. Savour the scenery, enjoy the weather, and explore the wonders.
Day 1 Guwahati - Shillong (100kms)
Arrive at Guwahati airport and drive to Shillong. Check in to the hotel. If time permits, visit the Cathedral of Mary and the evening, roam Shillong’s famous Police Bazar on foot.

Day 2 Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong (120kms round)
You will be travelling to Cherrapunjee - the wettest place on earth. En route, visit the famous Elephant Falls. At Cherrapunjee visit - Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls. After lunch at Cherrapunjee, visit Thankarang Park and Koh Ramhah. Drive back to Shillong for an overnight halt.

Day 3 Shillong - Mwallynong - Shillong (180kms round)
Full day excursion to Mawllynong, the cleanest village in India, with 90% literacy. Paved walkways and beautiful flowerbeds all along the village, with waterfalls, a living root bridge, hilly rivulets, an acacia plantation and an excellent view of the faraway plains of Bangladesh all contribute to the ambience of this village. Farming of betel nut & leaves, broomsticks and pepper, along with bee rearing, are the primary economic activities of this Village. A day in this village gives an insight into the life of the Khasis, the influence of the Church and its metamorphosis. After sightseeing, drive back to Shillong.

Day 4 Shillong - Guwahati (100kms)
Drive to Guwahati, check in at the hotel. Later, visit the Kamakhya temple - it is situated at the top of the Nilachal Hill at about 800 feet above sea level. The entire temple complex not only comprises many other temples but also a whole set of people connected with them. Apart from the main Devi temple, it also comprises some other major temples of Devi Kali, Tara, Bagala, Chinnamasta, Bhuvanesvari, Bhairavi and Dhumavati. Also visit Sankardev Kalakhetra - Light & Sound show or Evening river Cruise on Brahmaputra on a Direct payment basis.

Day 5 Guwahati - Departure
As per the flight schedule, transfer to the airport to board the flight for the onward destination.
