Day 1 Dar Es Salaam - Mikumi National Park

Pick up by our driver guide from your Dar es Salaam residence / hotel and proceed towards Mikumi National Park. It is the most accessible park to Dar es Salaam and lies in the shadow of the Uluguru Mountains, Rubeho Mountains, Udzungwa Mountains and Rift Valley escarpment to the southwest. At the heart of Mikumi is the fertile Mkata river floodplain, which due to its lush pastures, attracts wildlife from the surrounding hills. After lunch at the lodge proceed for the afternoon game drive at Mikumi National Park. The sightings here may be buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, lions and a good number of birds species. Later transfer back to the lodge.

Dinner & overnight at the Vuma Hill tented camp.

Day 2 Mikumi - Ruaha National Park

After early morning (2 hours) game drive at Mikumi return back to lodge for the late breakfast, then proceed towards Ruaha National Park. It’s about 5 hour’s journey. Ruaha is Tanzania’s second-largest national park. It is at the center of an ecosystem that covers 12,950 sq km and is home to the country’s largest elephant population (estimated at some 10,000). Transfer to your lodge.

Dinner & Overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

Day 3 Ruaha National Park

It has a mood of its own - a rugged, remote, almost spiritual quality embodied by bulbous silhouettes of ancients baobabs that haunts its semi-arid plains and rocky slopes.

This vast and magnificent plateau, at mainly 900m - 1,100m high, is also home to kudus, gazelles, ostriches, cheetas and roan and sable antelopes - while the banks of the great Ruaha River to the east provide a perfect habitat for crocodiles, hippos and a wide array of birdlife. After full day game drive at the Ruaha park, return back to the lodge for overnight stay.

Dinner & Overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

Day 4 Ruaha - Udzungwa National Park

After breakfast proceed for a half day activity like. You can opt for guided walking safari. Return back to the lodge for a hot lunch.

After lunch drive towards Udzungwa National Park. Towering steeply over the Kilombero Plains are the wild, lushly forested slopes of the Udzungwa Mountains, portions of which are protected as part of Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Another factor of Udzungwa is its one of the few places in Africa with continuos rainforest over such a great span. Transfer to your lodge.

Dinner & Overnight at Udzungwa Mountain Lodge.

Day 5 Udzungwa National Park

There are no roads in Udzungwa; instead there are about eight major and several lesser hiking trails winding through various sections of the park.

Udzungwa is not a conventional game viewing destination, it’s more popular for the Sanje Waterfalls - which plunges 550 feet through a misty spray into the forested valley below. The major attraction is biologically diverse plants, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, butterfly, and insects of which some of species are found nowhere else in the world. After full day trekking return back to the lodge.

Dinner & Overnight at Udzungwa Mountain Lodge.

Day 6 Udzungwa - Dar Es Salaam

Leave after breakfast and drive to Dar es Salaam which is a 6 hours drive but if you have time you can have another half day in Mikumi and drive back to Dar es Salaam. We will drop you at the airport or hotel of your stay.
