5 Days Big Cats Camping Safari: Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro National Parks 5 days

Day 1 Arusha - Manyara

Leave Arusha after breakfast with picnic lunch to Manyara National Park for full day game drive, the park has the biggest diversity of habitat than the big Serengeti National Park (underground water forest, acacia woodland, marshlands, the lake, hillside savannah). Here you may see Elephants, Baboons, Buffaloes, Zebras, Monkeys, and Hippos.

Dinner and overnight at Sun Bright campsite. Activities, game viewing.

Day 2 Lake Manyara - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast drive to Ndutu, In February this is the area where wildebeest come and drop their babies. This is the home for cheetah, other sightings include Lions, Hyenas, Giraffes, Bat-eared foxes, and Flamingoes around Ndutu Lake if the lake is not dry since the lake is seasonal.

Dinner and overnight at Soronera campsite.

Note: We will go to Ndutu between the months of December to March for the migration, the rest of the months the herds are not in the area. Activities, game viewing.

Day 3 Serengeti National Park

Leave the camp very early looking for the big prides of lions found within the central part (Seronera valley) the best place for lions in Africa. The area also has great sighting of Leopards, Hyenas, jackals, Topi, Thomson’s gazelles. It’s also the best place of the park to find cheetah especially in the dry season. Lunch at the camp.

In the afternoon we will drive around the Soronera River looking for Hippos, Elephants, Baboons, Birds.

Dinner at the Seronera campsite. Activities: game viewing. You will enjoy your bush drinks with your guide, gin and tonic and dawa (local way of making caipirinia).

Day 4 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, we will have more morning drive in the outer part of central Serengeti trying to look for more cats and hunting predators. The plains have kopjes which offer good places for Lions and Leopards to breed while the valleys offer great wallowing and drinking areas for big herds of Elephants.

Dinner and overnight at Simba campsite.

Activities: game viewing. Optional: Maasai visit

Day 5 Ngorongoro Crater

After a very early breakfast leave the camp and descend down to the eighth wonder with possibly the largest permanent concentration of wildlife in Africa, with an estimated average of 30,000 large mammals. In addition, this is one of the best reserves in Africa to see Black Rhino. Other sightings include Lions, Hyenas, Jackals, Hippos, Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeest.

After lunch drive back to Arusha. Activities, game viewing
