Tour Aberdare National Park with its steep ravines, waterfalls and peaks where forest dwellings, unusual animals and birds are found, Samburu Game Reserve's desert landscape and unique species. Visit the beautiful private Sweetwaters Game Reserve (Ol Pejeta Conservancy) and its rare species. Then descend into the Great Rift Valley to explore Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its spectacular birdlife, frequent rhino sightings tree-climbing lions and Lake Naivasha water wildlife. Next, we travel to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve, the quintessential African landscape, home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.

Day 1 Nairobi - Aberdare National Park

You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning and immediately depart for Aberdares to arrive before lunchtime. Lunch will be served at Treetops. Later enjoy a joint game drive as you drive to The Ark Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. At the lodge, you will enjoy game viewing at a deck overlooking a waterhole.

Day 2 Aberdare National Park - Samburu Game Reserve

Have breakfast then depart for Samburu passing through the equator line to Samburu land. Arrive with a short game drive en route to the camp/lodge for lunch. After lunch, relax before a game drive at 4 p.m. Samburu Park has unique residents including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the blue-legged Somali Ostrich.

Day 3 Samburu Game Reserve

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique northern Kenya species such as the reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscape: dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of tabletop Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon. All meals are taken at the camp.

Day 4 Samburu Game Reserve - Sweetwaters Game Reserve

Have breakfast at the camp and immediately depart for Sweetwaters. This is a beautiful private game reserve and home to rare species such as Beisa oryx, Rothschild’s giraffe and black rhino. Game drives here reveal the full range of African wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and hippos. Enjoy a private visit with the tame animals at the wildlife orphanage. Observe chimps at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

Overnight: Sweetwaters​

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5 Sweetwaters - Lake Nakuru

Leave Sweetwaters for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch at the lodge/camp. Relax by the pool area band later have a game drive at 4 p.m. You will meet great masses of Flamingos not forgetting the endangered white and black rhino found in this park.

Overnight: Sarova Lion Hill or Equivalent

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 6 Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha

Have breakfast then depart for Lake Naivasha which is less than 2 hours away. Arrive and check in at the lodge by lunchtime. Have lunch and later enjoy a boat ride. This is a good chance to see a good number of bird species and hippos. Later ride to the shore and head back to the lodge.

Alternatively, have a game drive and hike in Hell's Gate.

Overnight: Simba Lodge

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 7 Lake Naivasha - Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Have an early breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch at the camp.

Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive at 4 o’clock.

Overnight: Enkorok Lodge or Equivalent

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 8 Maasai Mara Game Reserve

These 2 days will be spent with morning and afternoon game drives that lead one to some of Africa’s largest lion pride, herds of zebra, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas. Accommodations include en suite restroom facilities and secluded verandas.

Optional Activities: Balloon ride and visit to Maasai Village

Overnight: Enkorok Lodge Or equivalent

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 9 Maasai Mara - Nairobi

Have breakfast at the camp then check out the park and drive to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Lunch is served at Carnivore Restaurant or one of your choices. Afterwards, drop off at the hotel for an overnight stay or airport.

Alternatively, you can have a short trip to Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen or do a little shopping for souvenirs at Kazuri Beads.
