Then take a motorboat to explore the Temple of Philae, which was built primarily during the Ptolemaic period and is one of the most incredible Temples in Egypt. It was due to the construction of the two dams in Aswan that UNESCO had to relocate the temple. End your journey at the granite quarry of the Unfinished Obelisk.

Transfer to your Nile cruise ship.

Day 3 Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu

Enjoy a free morning onboard your Nile cruise ship or join us on an optional tour of the phenomenal temples of Abu Simbel.

In the afternoon the ship sails down to Kom Ombo where you can visit the temple which the Egyptians dedicated it to two gods, Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. At the end of your tour, you will have a short visit to the Mummified Crocodile Museum then the ship will proceed down to Edfu, where it will dock. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 4 Edfu - Esna - Luxor

After or before breakfast, you will be taken in a horse-drawn carriage to visit Edfu's Temple of Horus, which was built during the Greco-Roman era and is the most intact temple in Egypt. Afterward, the cruise will sail from Edfu via the Lock of Esna on its way to Luxor.

Once you reach Luxor, you will have the chance to see the largest temple in Egypt, the Temple of Karnak, built by several pharaohs in ancient times, as well as the majestic Temple of Luxor, connected to Karnak by the ceremonial avenue of the Sphinx which was recently restored. These temples were dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, the Theban Triad. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 5 Kings Valley - Hatshepsut Temple - Colossi of Memnon

You will be disembarking from the ship after breakfast in order to explore the western side of Luxor. In the first part of our tour, you'll have the chance to explore the magnificent tombs found in the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom buried their kings to keep them hidden from grave robbers. A total of 65 tombs can be found in the Valley of the Kings. Your guide will suggest the top three tombs that are open to the public that you should visit. Then, you will be driven to the Temple of Hatshepsut, the female pharaoh who served as a solo pharaoh for about 20 years after convincing the people that she was a man. You will then visit the Colossi of Memnon which lies in the Temple of Amenhotep III. After this, you will transfer to Luxor Airport in order to catch our flight back to Cairo.
