Alger-Annaba via six other cities is a discovery tour of both the natural splendors and the archaeological riches of these regions. Guelma, the ancient Galama, with its Roman theatre and museum, Djemila, formerly Cuicul, one of the most beautiful Roman archaeological sites listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Timgad, founded by order of Trajan in the year 100 AD, offer a glimpse of what you will witness during this journey.

Day 1 Saturday: Algiers

Arrival at Algiers airport. Welcome and assistance at Algiers airport. Transfer to Algiers via Makam Echahid. Then a city tour with the famous Grande Poste, the national theatre, the Wilaya (Algiers prefecture) or the Galleries of France, converted into a modern art museum. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 Sunday: Tipaza - Cherchell - Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania

Morning: departure for Tipasa, the city famous for its Roman archaeological remains and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (theatre, circus, baths...) as well as many other Punic, Roman, Christian, and African ruins that testify to the rich history of this region. It is on this site that Albert Camus wrote "Noces" in 1939. Lunch. Afternoon: on the way back, a short detour to visit the tomb of the Christian, otherwise known as the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania (tomb of Queen Selene, wife of Juba II). Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Monday: Algiers - Casbah - Notre Dame d'Afrique

Visit to the Casbah starts with the Dey's Palace, which is nicknamed "Dar Essoltane", the Centenary house, the Sidi Ramdane mosque (and Bir Chebana fountain), the Princess Khedaoudj's Palace, the Jamaa al-Jdid mosque, and the Mustapha Pacha Palace. Meet the cabinet maker Khaled Mahiout who will introduce us to his craft workshop. Lunch. Pass by the waterfront with Bastion 23 before climbing the heights of Algiers to visit Notre Dame d'Afrique, overlooking the Bab El Oued district. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Tuesday: Algiers - Djemila - Sétif

Early departure to the archaeological park of "Djemila", listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ancient Cuicul is one of the most beautiful sets of Roman ruins in the world (the arch of Caracalla, great baths, Christian basilica, the 4th-century baptistery, and the museum with its mosaic paintings). Lunch. For a city tour, continue with Sétif and its famous Ain El Fouara fountain. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 Wednesday: Sétif - Tiddis - Constantine

Departure to Tiddis: an authentic Berber site modified by Roman civilization and arranged according to their urbanization systems. The site of Tiddis (or Castellum Tidditanorum) on the hill, once dependent on Cirta, still retains Libyan inscriptions and symbols on Berber pottery. Head to Constantine. Lunch. Afternoon: Continue with the city's suspension bridges and discover the gorges of Rhummel, the Cirta museum before climbing to the old war memorial which offers magnificent panoramas. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 Thursday: Constantine - Timgad - Batna

Departure for Batna with a stop at the Salines (large Chott where salt is produced). Then continue with a visit to Médracen, a famous Berber tomb. Lunch. Afternoon: Visit the city of Timgad. The Roman city, called Thamugadi in antiquity, was founded by Emperor Trajan. Finally, continue with a visit to Lambèse, the ancient Lambaesis. Arrival at Batna. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7 Friday: Batna - Madaure - Khemissa - Annaba

Depart early taking the road to M'Daourouche (Madaurs). Visit the ancient Numidian city of Syphax from the 3rd century BC and the kingdom of Massinissa, it was later erected into a significant Roman colony between the years 69 and 75 BC, under Emperor Vespasian. Saint Augustine studied here until the age of 15. Lunch. Afternoon: direction to Khamissa ancient city of Thubursicu Numidarum. Over the centuries, it expanded to the north and northwest to an ancient city of 65 hectares. Thubursicu Numidarum strategically occupied a place of primary importance: it was located on a road dependent on the port of Hippo Regius (near Annaba) to Theveste (Tebessa), the camp of the African legion. Continue towards Annaba. Check-in at the hotel.

Day 8 Saturday: Guelma - Annaba

Departure at 8:30 am for the visit to the Ancient Theatre of Guelma, built in 201. The theatre also houses the Roman Museum which possesses a significant collection of coins. Lunch. Then direction to the Petrified Cascades of Hammam Meskoutine. Their therapeutic virtues were appreciated by the Romans who called this place Aqua Tibatanae. Return to Annaba. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 9 Sunday: Annaba

Morning: visit the Basilica of St Augustine and the site of Ancient Hippo with its museum. Lunch. Afternoon: City tour passing by the corniche up to Cap de Garde. Then head to Seraïdi to admire a sunset from the terrace of the El Mountazah Hotel, built by the architect Fernand Pouillon. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 Monday: Return Flight

Transfer to Annaba airport with assistance until boarding for the return flight.
