Embark on our private full-day Mekong Delta tour to discover the scenic beauty of rural Vietnam. Cruise along the waterways, glide on a sampan under the graceful water coconut trees and savour the flavours of honey tea while enjoying local music. Immerse yourself in the enchanting countryside and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Unforgettable way to see the Mekong Delta to drive along the provincial roads in the Southern region of Vietnam through paddy rice fields, pine-apple plantations, orchards and small hamlets (2 hours driving).
Arrive at My Tho boat station, you will have a big local motor boat take you to visit the Mekong River (20 minutes by moto boat) for sightseeing at 4 islets Dragon Island, Unicorn Island, Turtle Island, Phoenix Island.
We will stop at the famous Unicorn Island (Cồn Thới Sơn), where you will visit natural pure honey at a bee-keeping farm, and taste some honey tea with kumquat, one of the local special drinks of Mekong people.
Have a pleasant walk on the village road for 5-10 minutes, you will arrive at a local house to see the local fruit garden, they serve you many types of tropical fruits, time have a live music band, named Traditional Folk Music- Don Ca Tai Tu (UNESCO recognized Don Ca Tai Tu as the art of amateur music as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity on December 5, 2013.)
Then take a rowing boat (20-30 minutes - distance around 2 km ) 1 boat of 3-4 people, the local rider will row you on the small canal with the boat, both sides full of water coconut trees, the rowing boat take you to the coconut candy workshop, you will be explained how the local make coconut candy by hand, have a chance to taste candy coconut candies with varieties flavour, coconut wine, coconut cake ..., transfer to a smaller motor boat and travel along the lush, green canals and stop at the local restaurant for Vietnamese lunch.
(at a local restaurant, there are many things for sightseeing crocodile-you can try crocodile fishing here, see many fish ponds, and tiny gardens and see birds, and hedgehogs..)
After lunch, you will be taken back to My Tho by motor boat (20 minutes).
Get on the bus back to Ho Chi Minh City, and have a stop at Vinh Trang Pagoda before arriving at the Ho Chi Minh city centre around 5.30 pm.
