Embark on an adventure to the stunning Wenchi Crater Lake, where you can explore island monasteries by horseback or trekking, and enjoy serene boat trips across the water. Follow it with a trek through the lush Menagesha Forest, home to colobus monkeys, endemic Menelik’s bushbuck, and vibrant birdlife.
Day 1 Wenchi Crater Lake
Early morning depart to Wenchi Creator Lake. Visit the island monastery of Cherkos via horse riding or trekking- whichever is convenient for you. You will also do a boat trip to get to your destination. The sight of the lake will take your breath away.
Overnight: Hotel
Day 2 Menagesha Forest
After taking your breakfast, drive to the Menagesha National Forest for trekking. Menagesh Forest is home to plenty of wildlife, such as the colobus monkeys and endemic Menelik’s bushbuck, as well as birds, including the endemic Ethiopian oriole and Abyssinian woodpecker. After finishing your trek, return to Addis in the late afternoon.

I went in Lake Wenchi and Menagesha Suba Forest Park with Meki. She speaks english very well and I enjoy her passion for the culture and the history of this fantastic country. She is also very organized and flexible. I would 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone who wants to go take a trip to Ethiopia
