Kilt Rock

This is a definite must to stop off at if you're on your way up to the Quiraing, or worth the extra few miles after going up the Old Man of Storr. It's fairly well sign-posted from the A855 Staffin road and there's an ample-sized car park at it. Walk up to the fence and peer down about 150ft to the sea and along to the waterfall fed from Loch Mealt with the towering volcanic rock formation and you'll see why their so-called Kilt Rock. Good spot for a picnic although other than the fantastic view, don't expect anything else.
